PNG and beyond

Again I am not sure what Internet availability there will be on our next adventure so outlined below is our itinerary.

Tuesday 04 September - Evening flight from London to Singapore with Singapore Airlines.

Overnight on the plane

Wednesday 05 September - Upon arrival in Singapore you will be met at
the airport and transferred to your hotel. Singapore at leisure. Raffles Hotel, Singapore

Thursday 06 September - At leisure in Singapore before returning to
the airport for your Air Nuigini flight to Port Moresby.

Overnight on the plane

Friday 07 September - Upon arrival in Port Moresby you will be met
at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Airways Hotel, Port Moresby

Saturday 08 September -In the morning, you are transferred back to the airport and fly to Mt Hagen. Mount Hagen Town is in the upper Wahgi Valley - a valley with some of the oldest evidence of agriculture in the world. Perched high on Mount Kuta is Rondon Ridge, with unbelievable views of the Wahgi Valley. Half Day birding and nature tour around the walking tracks of Rondon Ridge. Rondon Ridge, Mount Hagen

Sunday 09 September - Enjoy a full day of cultural and ecological touring. Mount Hagen is situated in the Waghi Valley - a valley with some of the oldest evidence of agriculture in the world.

Monday 10 September - Fly by charter from Mount Hagen to the Sepik, the mountains start to give way until eventually vast tracts of dense tropical lowland rainforest cover the landscape for as far as the eye can see. From the airstrip, you will be transferred to the air conditioned comfort of the MV Sepik Spirit. Inspired by the architecture of the "haustambaran" or spirit house, the MV Sepik Spirit has a truly unique design. With its shallow draught, it allows travel to rarely visited areas of the Sepik River and its tributaries in comfort.

Tuesday 11 September - Two full days are spent exploring the many waterways of the Sepik and its tributaries including visits to traditional Sepik Villages. The Sepik River is one of the largest rivers in the world - in terms of flow. Steeped in mystery, the people of the Sepik area have fascinated anthropologists like Margaret Mead since the area was first visited. Part of
the mystery and attraction of the Sepik peoples is their amazing carvings, now famous the world over.

Thursday 13 September - From the Sepik Spirit, you will be transferred to Karawari Lodge. Sitting on a ridge above the Karawari River, Karawari Lodge boasts a spectacular view over hundreds of kilometres of dense tropical jungle. Inspired by local architecture and

Friday 14 September - Fly by charter from Karawari to Goroka. Goroka, home of the famous and intriguing Asaro Mudmen, will be your base for the duration of the 2007 Goroka Cultural Show. Bird of Paradise Hotel, Goroka

Saturday 15 September - Spend 2 days enjoying the cultural extravaganza that is the Goroka Show.

Monday 17 September - Fly by charter aircraft from Goroka to Ambua, a thrilling flight past the twin peaks of Mt.Giluwe and over the alpine grasslands of the Tari Gap. Ambua Lodge is high on the slopes of the Tari Valley, with magnificent views of the valley below and surrounding peaks. The Tari Valley - home of the Huli, a colourful and proud people still largely
living the same way that their tumbuna did. The afternoon is spent exploring the area

Tuesday 18 September - Enjoy a full day of cultural and ecological touring. The Tari area is home to an incredible 13 species of birds of paradise, as well as numerous orchid species. Learn how the Huli live and how they interact with and use their environment.

Wednesday 19 September - Fly by charter aircraft from Ambua to Mount Hagen, a thrilling flight over the alpine grasslands of the Tari Gap and past the twin peaks of Mt.Giluwe. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the Highlander Hotel to have lunch and relax by the poolside. In the afternoon you will be transferred back to the airport for the flight to Port Moresby. Upon arrival in Port Moresby, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Airways Hotel, Port Moresby

Thursday 20 September - You will be transferred to the International airport for your flight to Singapore. On arrival in Singapore you will be met and taken to your accommodation at the Raffles Hotel.

Friday 21 September - This morning you will be taken to the airport for your international flight to Auckland. On arrival in Auckland you take the shuttle bus to the airport hotel.

Saturday 22 September - This morning you return to the airport for your international flight to Fiji. On arrival you will be met and given all your paperwork for your time in Fiji, including the internal flight tickets. You have an onward flight to Vanua Levu. On arrival here you will be met by a representative of the Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort and taken to your
accommodation.

Sunday 23 September - At leisure.

Monday 24 September - At leisure.

Tuesday 25 September - Today you will be taken back to the airport for your flight to Nadi. On arrival here you have a sea plane transfer to Vatulele Island Resort.

Wednesday 26 September - At leisure.

Thursday 27 September - At leisure.

Friday 28 September - At leisure.

Saturday 29 September - This morning you have a sea plane transfer back to the airport. Here you connect with an international flight to Rarotonga. As you cross the international date line you arrive the previous day.

Friday 28 September - On arrival on Rarotonga you will be met and given vouchers for your stay in The Cook Islands including internal flight tickets. You have a light aircraft flight to Aitutaki. On arrival here you will be met by a representative of the Pacific Resort and taken to your accommodation. Pacific Resort, Aitutaki

Saturday 29 September - At leisure.

Sunday 30 September - At leisure.

Monday 01 October - Today you have a light aircraft flight to Rarotonga. On arrival you will be taken by private car to your accommodation for the night.

Tuesday 02 October - This morning you will be taken to the airport for your international flight to Tahiti. On arrival you will be met and given your vouchers for travel in French Polynesia including internal flight tickets. You have an onward flight to Moorea where you will be met and taken to your accommodation. Pearl Resort, Moorea

Monday 08 October - Today you have a helicopter flight from Bora Bora to Taha'a private island resort. Le Taha`a Private Island and Spa,

Thursday 11 October - This morning you will be taken to Raiatea by boat to connect with your flight to Tahiti. Here you change planes and fly on to Rangiroa. You have the rest of the day at leisure. Hotel Kia Ora, Rangiroa

Friday 12 October - At leisure.

Saturday 13 October - This afternoon you will be collected and taken to the airport for your flight back to Tahiti. Here you check in for your international flight to Los Angeles. You
arrive in Los Angeles tomorrow.

Sunday 14 October - On arrival in Los Angeles you make your own way to your accommodation in Santa Monica. Shutters On The Beach, Los Angeles

Monday 15 October - You have today at leisure in Los Angeles.

Tuesday 16 October - You make your way to the airport this afternoon for your international flight to London. You arrive home tomorrow. Overnight on the plane

Wednesday 17 October - Arrive home.
