Well there aren´t really but it feels like it. At least 3 out of every 5 cars in the city centre is a little yellow Diahatsu taxi and 1 in 5 is a normal taxis. The yellow ones are very cheap (Diahatsu virtually give them away) but there are no meters. So a journey to town might cost 3 soles (50p) for locals but 30 soles for tourists...
